The next Sebastian Vettel could come from the peninsula. Any aspiring racers should accelerate to Kintyre Karting Club which currently has just 11 members and operates all year round on a track at the airbase

A spokesman said: ‘Boys, girls and adults are welcome to join and should come to see the action at the next race day this Sunday from 2pm.
