Campbeltown Flower Club members blossomed at the first meeting of their new season.

The recent event featured a beginners’ workshop led by Haley Baxter of Fresh Connection.

Each month there is a competition for members to enter and at the end of the year an engraved trophy is awarded for the most points throughout the year; each of these competition arrangements should be made at home and brought to the meeting made up.

The club meets in the town’s Red Cross Hall at 7.30pm on the third Tuesday of each month.

Next month’s competition will be for an arrangement in a pumpkin for the meeting on October 17; Christine Russell will lead the evening which has a theme of autumn splendour.
