It was less pan fried than water marinated as spectators went animal quackers at Carradale’s last annual duck race.

381 people competed, in a crisp wind to see whose plastic yellow duck could make it down the Carradale river to Waterfoot first.

Saucy names added to the feathered fun as hundreds of people waddled into the village last Saturday to watch the action.
