A tremendous show of cattle ensured competors hoofed it to the Kintyre Primestock Breeders annual stock judging.
The recent event, at Killocraw, was held by kind permission of the Lines family who have farmed in Kintyre for 25 years.
The chairman, Hamish Morrison, introduced the evening’s judge, Andy Woodburn from Netherwood farm, Ayrshire to the 108 competitors.
After the competition vice-chairman, Andrew Ronald thanked the Lines family for the excellent premises and show of cattle, the scorers, chairman, secretary and asked the company to show thier appreciation in the usual manner for a very successful evening.
The prizewinners were as follows: Gents Jackson cup: 1 Andrew Reid, 2 Rory Colville, 3 Sandy Pirie. Ladies Warnock quaich: 1 Rosslyn Smith, 2 Elizabeth Irwin, 3 Margaret Ralston. Young Farmers Club trophy: 1 Stuart Currie, 2= James Peterson, Catherine Semple and Charles Turner. Ballywilline cup: 1= Jamie McKendrick and Zoe Prentice, 3 Fraser Prentice. Special prize from Ralph Bova for paid-up members of the association: 1 Andrew Reid, 2 Matthew Ralston, 3 Stuart Currie.
