A charitable energy efficiency organisation is hotted up to run a series of affordable winter warmth sessions in Kintyre.

In preparation for the colder months Argyll Lomond and the Islands Energy Agency (Alienergy) is running a ‘But It’s Not Winter’ campaign in Kintyre during the last two weeks in September.

The meetings will promote energy efficiency and affordable warmth awareness so people can begin to implement changes to make their homes warmer for winter.

The campaign is supported by Renewable Energy Systems (RES), with their staff volunteering their time to join Alienergy’s energy Champion team.

A spokesperson for Alienenergy said: ‘We’d like to strengthen our partnerships with organisations working in Kintyre by offering a drop in service and have available times and dates to offer advice drop ins at different venues.

‘We are booked in with Kintyre Youth Enquiry Services on September 27, from 12pm to 2pm and Kintyre Link Club, in the Community Education Centre, the next day at 11am.

‘If any groups are interested in letting us attend their office, venue or club please get in touch.

‘We can offer one to one advice as well as a workshop outlining top tips for energy efficiency and affordable warmth.’
