Outboard engine theft
A TOHATSU outboard motor was stolen from a boat moored at Campbeltown pontoons.
The engine was taken sometime between 7am on Sunday August 20 and 2.50pm on Tuesday August 22.
Police are investigating and appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

False details
A DRIVER who was stopped at 9.35pm on Monday August 21 attempted to escape justice by giving the police false details.
Following the routine documents check in Longrow, Campbeltown, police discovered that the man, aged 27, was driving while disqualified and without insurance.
He was charged and a report sent to the procurator fiscal.

Charged
A TEENAGER searched by police just after midnight on Sunday August 27 was found in possession of a small amount of cannabis.
The 15-year-old boy was stopped in Burnbank Street, Campbeltown. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the children’s reporter and procurator fiscal.

Street drinking
AT ABOUT 1.10am on Monday August 28 in Cross Street, Campbeltown, a 55-year-old man was issued with a recorded police warning for consuming alcohol in a public place, in contravention of bylaws.

No road tax
A VAN was stopped by police for a routine check at about 8.20am on Monday August 28, on the A83 at Tayinloan.
Enquiries revealed that the vehicle did not have a valid excise licence in force.
The driver, a man aged 58, was charged and a report will be submitted to DVLA.

Abusive behaviour
AT ABOUT 5.20pm on Tuesday August 29, in Dalaruan Street, Campbeltown, a 41-year-old man shouted abuse from his flat.
He was arrested, charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Theft of copper wire
A QUANTITY of copper wire was stolen from the site of the new Campbeltown Grammar school in Hutcheon Road, at about 11.40pm on Tuesday August 29.
Anyone with information should contact he police on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Dog bites
A 36-YEAR-OLD man failed to have proper control over a dog that bit another man causing injury at Westport beach at about 3.30pm on Wednesday August 30.
He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Speeding motorist
A MOTORIST was stopped for exceeding the speed limit at about 6.40pm last Saturday, on the B843 at Drumlemble.
The 56-year-old male was charged and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
