The all weather lifeboat did not need to be launched at Dunaverty’s RNLI Open golf competition.

Despite the usual rain, the 137 golfers at the 43rd lifeboat contest enjoyed a dry day last Saturday, which started off calm with strengthening winds throughout the afternoon.

18 ladies, 118 men and one junior took part and many commented on the magnificent condition of the course and the impressive work by the green-keepers.

Campbeltown RNLI is grateful to the club for organising the event and to all who helped on the day, also all the businesses, individuals and fishing vessels for donating prizes.

Any prize winners who have not received their prize should contact the lifeboat station.
