A peloton of Kintyre peddallers criss crossed the capital on last month’s Ride London.

Marjorie Leighton, Barry Colville, Ian Reid, Douglas Ferguson, Douglas McMurchy, Fiona Irwin and Ian McGeachy were among 28,032 riders who completed the Prudential sponsored event last month.

In the past four years, £41 million has been raised for charity at the event, which was originally conceived to improve health and fitness. So far more than 100,000 lapsed cyclists have taken part.

Mr McGeachy and Mrs Irwin raised at least £1,260 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) during Ride London.
