Novices crewing two Wayfarer dinghys learned about the vagaries of the wind in Campbeltown Loch.
The sponsored courses offer youths in full time education or unemployed and aged up to 25, the chance to take an 18 hour sailing course for just £30, aduilts pay £50.
The courses which run until September 3 are already proving popular. Two instructors: Kissy Catterwell from Ardfern and Jane Emerson from Ireland, taught five trainees on Monday afternoon.
