When Wee Toon Tellers rocked Dillon’s Bar back in 1993 they might not have believed MOK Fest would last a quarter of a century.

As the festival celebrates its silver anniversary this August the Tellers will reprise their role once again.

This year the Survivors’ Night concert on August 20 includes eight local acts: rock, pop, traditional, pipe and brass bands all taking the stage at this now legendary event.

The concert features many bands who have performed down the years with the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band and the Twisted Melons being joined by Deep Joy, Gullion, Gilchristians, ll Brasso and Session A83.

Jamie Girvan will MC a night which will have a few surprises and some special performances as we bring MOK Fest 25 to a close.

Event Manager, Iain Johnston from JIG Events said: ‘Survivors’ Night has always been a unique concert featuring  and showcasing some of the best local bands and musicians and the festival committee is delighted that it has become such a popular event.

‘Some of the bands have special surprises for our 25th anniversary celebrations.’

Tickets for all festival concerts from August 16 to 20 are available locally from A P Taylors, Main Street Campbeltown and on-line from Ticketweb at www.ticketweb.com
