The Carradale Canter’s poster creator drew ahead of the other competitors to win the 10K title at his third try.

Graphics’ maestro Nicholas Gemmell, 44, from Inverclyde Athletic Club, who has an East Kintyre holiday home, finished in 38.35 minutes improving on his second place last year.

Campbeltown Running Club’s Jennifer Reid won the women’s 10K in 44.31, 32 seconds slower than last year but she still retained the record holder’s shield.

First home in the 5K and overall winner of that event was Elliot Gemmill, 14, in 23.54,captures a new record for the under 16s.
