MCKAY – Peacefully, at the Campbeltown Hospital, on June 19, 2017, Edna Joyce McKay, in her 63rd year, 41 Mill Street, Campbeltown, beloved daughter of the late Catherine Brodie and Edward McKay, much loved mum of Michelle, Andrew, Ryan and Christopher, loving nannie of Christopher, Brian and Karis, great grandmother of Finlay, Jace and Callen and a much loved sister of Fiona, Sandra, Ann and the late Catherine, and a loving aunt. Funeral in the Salvation Army Citadel, Campbeltown, on Friday, June 23 at 1.00pm, thereafter to Kilkerran Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation and invitation. Family flowers only please. A retiral collection will be held in aid of the Salvation Army Citadel, Campbeltown.
PATRICK – Suddenly, after a short illness, on June 14, 2017, at the Mid Argyll Hospital, Lochgilphead, Alan Patrick (Big Al), aged 63 years, of 16 Argyll Street, Lochgilphead, former Technician at Lochgilphead High School, beloved son of the late Henry and Edna Patrick, much loved brother of Sue and Christine, a dear uncle and great uncle, and a good friend to many. In line with Alan’s request, a private cremation service will be held. A memorial service to celebrate Alan’s life was held on Thursday, June 22, 2017. Sadly missed.

Alexander McDonald Townsley (Sandy), in his 87th year, Greenwood, Campbeltown, dearly beloved son of the late Mary and Willie Townsley and a much loved brother, uncle and friend.
YOUNG – Peacefully, on June 17, 2017, at home with her family by her side, Kathleen (MacFarlane), in her 75th year, loving wife of Jimmy, devoted mum to Brian, Margaret and Mark and loving sister to Mary, Sandy, Donnie, Sheena and the late Jim, Angus and Elizabeth. Funeral Service on Monday, June 26, at Cardross Crematorium at 2.15pm.
FLAWS – The family of the late Catherine (Katie) Flaws would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for cards and phone calls following their sad loss of Katie. Grateful thanks to Kintyre Care Centre for their care and attention over the last three years. We would also like to thank Rev W Crossan for a comforting and uplifting service, David McEwan for appropriate music, Kenneth Blair for his professionalism and guidance, and the staff of the Argyll Hotel. Lastly, thanks to all who paid their respects at church and graveside, and gave generously to the collection for Kintyre Care Centre, which raised £140.
MCMILLAN – Charlie and Jen McMillan would like to thank all who attended the service at the Lorne and Lowland Church for their beloved daughter, Jane, on June 15, 2017, and for all the cards and flowers received. Thanks also to the Rev Steve Fulcher for his spiritual help and uplifting service, to David McEwan for his beautiful music, to Lee Holland on the flute, to Alison and Maureen for their tribute to Jane, and to our friend, George Sharp, for this excellent piping. Our thanks to the nursing staff who cared for Jane at the Campbeltown Hospital, who are beyond praise, to the Argyll Hotel, Campbeltown for their first class service and food, and to T A Blair for their caring and professional service. Finally, our thanks to all who contributed to the retiral collection for Macmillan Nurses, Kintyre Locality and the Lorne and Lowland Parish Church, which raised £1,309.22.
SMITH – Angie would like to sincerely thank family, friends and neighbours for all the flowers, cards, letters and visits following the sad loss of John, a beloved husband, father and granddad. Grateful thanks for the wonderful care he received in Glasgow and Campbeltown Hospital, also to T A Blair, Funeral Directors, the Ardshiel Hotel, the Lorne and Lowland Parish Church, organist, David Gardner, and the Rev William Crossan, for a lovely service.
