ENGAGEMENTS
MCKINLAY – KELLY – Both families are delighted to announce the engagement of Rebecca, only daughter of John and Eileen, Wilardean, Campbeltown, to Darren, youngest son of Donald and Rhona, Strathmore, Drumlemble, Campbeltown.

DEATHS
BOYD – On May 23, 2017, peacefully at home, James Douglas Boyd, of Sparrow Castle Furnace, in his 80th year, beloved husband of Anne, dear brother of Lillian and Philip and a dearly loved brother-in-law and uncle. Reqium Mass will take place at All Saints Church, Inveraray, on Thursday, June 1 at 11.00am, thereafter to Cardross Crematorium, at 2.15pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please.

FERGUSON (LOGIE) – Anne, Maryburgh and Tayvallich, (Alba Service and Supply), died peacefully on May 19, 2017, dear mother of Andy and Maryanne, and very proud Nanne to James and Thomas.  Beloved partner of the late Duncan MacLean, Woodside Croft, Heights of Inchvannie.  A loyal friend to many.  Funeral service will be held at Tayvallich Parish Church, today Friday, May 26, 2017, at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Carsaig Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited to attend.  Family flowers only please.  Donations if desired, to Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll Hospital.

JENKINS – On May 22, 2017, at Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll Hospital, Lochgilphead, James (Jim), in his 93rd year, after a short illness, dearly beloved husband of the late Ena, much loved father of Olive, Yvonne, Ronald and the late James, adored grandfather and great grandfather, and a dear father-in-law, brother and uncle.  Funeral service will be held at Ardrishaig Parish Church, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11.00am, thereafter to Achnabreac Cemetery.  Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, to Glenaray Ward, Mid Argyll Hospital.

MCVEAN – Peacefully, at the Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, on Sunday, May 14, 2017, Donald Neil, aged 91 years, much loved cousin to all the McMillan family and a well respected friend. Cremation service will take place at Cardross Crematorium, Cardross, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 12.15pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Casual clothes to be worn at request of the family. No flowers please.

MUIR – Peacefully, in the Campbeltown Hospital, on May 18, 2017, Hamish Muir, in his 81st year, 32 Burnside Cottages, Stewarton, a dearly loved brother and uncle.

QUEENAN – John Raymond, born in Stirlingshire in 1946, known in Barrhead, Paisley, Tayvallich and Bellochantuy, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017.  Private service has taken place.  A generous, kind and funny guy who will be greatly missed by wife Ann, sisters-in-law Irene and Wynn, brother-in-law George, sisters Mary and Roseann, nieces, nephews and Sharon.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
MACINTYRE – Our family would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, cards, telephone calls, visits, flowers and loving kindness received after the sad loss of Billy.  A very special thanks to the doctors and nurses of neurology wards, Ninewells Hospital, Dundee for their care and kindness throughout Billy’s illness.  Special thanks to the Rev Robert Watt for the meaningful, comforting service and for the continuing friendship and support. Thanks to Rev Wallace of the Lorne and Lowland Church, and organist David Gardner.  Grateful thanks to all those who were able to pay their respects, attending the services in Dunfermline and also the local service in Campbeltown.  Thanks to the Blair family for their caring professionalism and to the Ardshiel Hotel for their catering.  Also thanks to all for the generous donations to the retiral collection for Headway.

MCINNES – Caroline and the family of the late John would like to thank everyone who attended the service in the Springbank Evangelical Church.  Thanks also to the staff of the Sunshine Room, to Rev Steve Davis for his kind services, to the Ardshiel Hotel for tea, to Alasdair Blair for efficient funeral services and to the Kintyre Care Home staff for their devoted care to John in his final years.
