VOTERS in north Kintyre and the islands will get a chance to grill the election candidates in their ward, ahead of the local elections on May 4.
A hustings will be held in Tarbert Village Hall on Monday April 24 at 7.30pm, to which all candidates have been invited.
The candidates are: Lib Dem Robin Currie, SNP Anne Horn, Labour and Co-operative party Michael Kelly, Independent John McAlpine, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Alastair Redman and Scottish Greens Ed Tyler.
Candidates will draw lots at the start of the evening to establish the running order.
They will then be given a strict two-minute slot in which to introduce themselves, before answering questions from the floor.
Each candidate will then give a closing speech, in reverse order to the opening speeches, in the hope that voters will elect them to one of the three councillor positions available.
The chairman for the evening will be Rev Dr Roderick Campbell, minister of Glenaray and Inveraray Church.
