THE FARMERS at Saddell Home Farm have a spring in their step after welcoming the first calf of their new Belted Galloway herd.
Father and son farmers Terence and Andrew Glenn were delighted when the bull calf was born this week, to mother Larghill Quartz and father Raeburn Zoltan.
The calf is as yet unnamed.
Andrew said: ‘It’s actually my dad’s herd. He’s been desperate for Belted Galloways for a while and bit the bullet and bought the first four cows back in autumn starting our new Roseyards herd.’
