Manager of Machrihanish Dunes Keith Martin

THE VILLAGE at Machrihanish has won the Enterprise Award at the Countryside Alliance Awards, otherwise known as the Scottish Rural Oscars.

The business will now go on to the UK and Ireland final, which will be held at Westminster on March 13.

The Village at Machrihanish was chosen for the Enterprise award as Southworth Developments ‘have created a world class golf course shaped from a landscape designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).’

The manager of Machrihanish Dunes, Keith Martin said: ‘We are very proud of winning the Alliance Award.

Southworth views the investment in Machrihanish Dunes as one in the area as a whole, with the goal of sustainability.’
