AN EXCELLENT response was given to a consultation evening for the all-weather pitch project in Campbeltown, Argyll.
Willie Young Argyll and Bute Council’s principal leisure officer held the consultation at Aqualibrium last week and told The Courier that there were representatives from nearly all the clubs in Kintyre at some point during the night.
He said the biggest concern was about the kind of footwear which is used on the surfaces but said there were no contentious issues brought up.
‘The clubs have given us a details about what they would like from the facility and when they would be most likely to want to use it. We plan to have another meeting in January to discuss this further.’
