RUNNERS from Campbeltown excelled themselves once again in the Tin Farm 5 on Sunday on Ormsary Estate near Kilberry.
A very strong field of male runners was led home by Kenny Campbell of Campbeltown in a time of 32 minutes 18 seconds, taking the male senior category.
Second male senior went to Allan Ramsay of Lochgilphead in a time of 33:32, with third going to Tommy Morran of Campbeltown in a time of 35:07.
Hector McMurchy of Campbeltown came third in a strong field of male veteran runners with 35:41.
Jennifer Reid of Campbeltown won the ladies’ race and first female senior for the second year in a row in a time of 43:09. Sandra Houldsworth of Kilbrachan came in second (43:59) with Lisa Hardie of Campbeltown finishing in third in a time of 44:12.
Jocelyn Richard of Machrihanish came second in the ladies veteran class with 45:15.
In the junior section Emily Bagnall from the town came in third with 57:24.
Alix Geyer took the award for the most courageous effort.
