PROUD students gathered at the Argyll Hotel, Campbeltown last week to see their efforts over the past year pay off.
They received their certificates for courses they have completed and the ceremony was well supported by the family and friends of those receiving certificates.
This year saw Argyll College introducing a wider range of further education courses with the Campbeltown centre being the first in Argyll and Bute to offer Hairdressing.
Those who received certificates were: Tanya McAllister, Shannel Allan, Melanie Burns for working Towards a Career in Child Care; Sarah McKeown, Kimberley Mason, Grace Johnson, Barbara Robertson received a SVQ 2 in Childcare Learning and Development.
Those who received a certificate for completing a SVQ 3 for Childcare Learning and Development were Danielle Brown, Charlene Smyth, Veronica Blair, Karen Ross.
Catherine Wallace, Jennifer McMillan, Wiolett Nawrot, Heather McKinnon, Michelle Mayberry received a NC for Early Education and Childcare.
Elizabeth Blackstock, Kathleen McAllister, Mairi McKillop, Gayle McPhee, Natasha McNaughton all completed a SVQ 2 in Hairdressing.
Both the Skills for Work in IT and Care have been running in Campbeltown for three years and are open to pupils in S3 and up.
It helps the students to enhance their employability and provides them with key skills an employer looks for.Adam Bellamy, Callum MacEachen, Jamie Craig, David Crawford, Murray Shaw received an SQA certificate in Skills for Work for IT and Hayley Campbell, Stephen Gorman, Lynda Lawson, Natalie Smith completed the Skills for Work for Care. The students of the year are Jennifer McMillan, Adam Bellamy and Kathleen McAllister.
