MODEL flying enthusiasts from all over Scotland gathered at MOD Machrihanish in the fifth annual Fun Fly event at the weekend.

The event, which was run by Kintyre Modelling Flying Club was arranged to raise as much awareness as possible about model flying and to encourage the different clubs to bring their different models and types of aircrafts to the area and have fun for the two days.

Clubs travelled from Paisley, Cumbernauld and Dumbarton as well as the local Kintyre Model Flying Club.

Members from Craignish Flying Club based a Croabh Haven also joined in on the fun during Sunday.

The event also raised £150 for MacMillan Cancer Support through their paper aeroplane competition. The winner was the one which could fly either the longest, or furthest or combining both factors.

Unfortunately due to safety factors involved in the event and with the event held at the MOD base the event is not open to the public.
