CAMPBELTOWN Young Farmers Association walked away with the 21st Anniversary Trophy for recruitment at the Ayr Show recently.
This was based on the number of member Campbeltown recruited during 2007 when they started up again after nearly seven years of not having a club.
Campbeltown recruited 46 new members in 2007 and numbers have roughly stayed the same a year on.
Chairman Thomas Cameron received the trophy on behalf of the Young Farmers at the Ayr Show whilst they were up competing in the stock judging competition.
Thomas said: ‘I was pleased to receive the trophy on behalf of Campbeltown Young Farmers, and our efforts to establish the club after one not existing for a few years have paid off.’
