‘Mini-hospice’ planne
Published: 22 May, 2008
MEMBERS of the Lodge St John’s 141 in Campbeltown have given a donation of £250 to Macmillan Cancer Nurses based at Campbeltown Hospital.
Fund raising is now under way to create a ‘mini-hospice’ style addition at the hospital by building a sun lounge into the quadrangle; this unit will also have somewhere for the families of terminally ill-patients to stay and provide more suitable accommodation all round.
Rt Worshipful Master Archie Martin and fellow members of the lodge went along to the hospital on Monday to present the cheque to Maggie Wilkieson and Kitty Millar, Macmillan Nurses.
