Casey comes out on top at the Great Glen Trials

FIFTY-four dogs competed last Saturday in the Great Glen Sheepdog Trials at Spean Bridge under the eye of judge Peter Martin, Glen Lyon.

Winner of the Open class and the Alan MacKay Cup was J Casey, Campbeltown, with Ben, while the Confined section and the Miles Robertson Cup was won by W Walker, Invergarry and Zac.

Results: Open: 1 J Casey, Campbeltown, with Zac 89 pts, 2 D Robertson, Helensburgh, with Bill 89pts, 3 H McLean, Culloden, with Roy 88pts, 4 A McCuish, Skipness with Moss 87pts, 5 JA MacLeod, Killin with Garry 87pts, 6 A Carnegie, Comrie with Lark 86, 7 I McConnell, Skipness with Jaff, 80pts, 8 W Walker, Invergarry with Zac 80pts.

Confined: 1 W Walker, Invergarry with Zac 80pts, 2 B Strachan, Roybridge with Rags 75pt, 3 J Ferguson, Ardgour with Craig 68pts
