Boy racer’s car seized
Published: 09 May, 2008
A YOUNG driver causing a nuisance in Campbeltown had his car impounded by the police.
The young man had been given one warning as part of an ASBO - anti social behaviour order - and on the second offence the car was impounded by police under new legislation.
It cost £130 to reclaim the impounded car plus storage costs of £20.
Three other drivers in town have had first warnings and face their cars being seized if they re offend.
‘It doesn’t have to be bad driving, just being a nuisance,’ said a police spokesman.
