A CHARITY darts night was held in Argyll Bowling Club at the weekend to raise funds for two local girls who are suffering from cancer, one from a brain tumour who is only five and the other a young woman who has breast cancer.
The night saw a good turnout from darts enthusiasts for the mixed blind date doubles which saw 50 entries taking part, with Alan Anderson and Mary Ross walking away as winners.
The runners up were Lainey Flaws and Raymond Rutherford.
The night was said to be brilliant, with a good atmosphere in the club.
Each of the patients will now receive £100 which was raised through the efforts of all those who took part in the darts competition and through a raffle.
