THE PUPILS first game in almost four months ended with a disappointing 1-0 defeat last week against Rutherglen.
It was a very lacklustre performance for the Pupils and they certainly did not look like a team going for promotion to Premier Division.
The goal that separated the team came from the penalty spot at 40 minutes, a very soft reward from the Pupils point of view.
Norman Thomson looked to have played the ball but the referee brushed aside the Pupil’s protests and McGhee scored past Pupil’s goalkeeper Neil McKay.
Very few Pupil’s players got out of first gear, the attack was powder puff and only Grant Grant and Fraser Wylie showed any creativity.
Alan Sinclair came on in the second half and hopefully with a few games he and the rest of the squad can get back to the good form showed at the start of the season.
Saturday, April 12 (tomorrow) the match secretary has come up with another away game, this time to Eaglesham, the Pupils won 3-0 earlier in the season against the Renfrewshire side at Kintyre Park.
Members Club draw, Saturday, March 29: John Stevenson, £50; John McPhee, £20; Flore Anderson, £10. Saturday, 5 April: Alex McKinlay, £50; Alex McPhee, £20; Mary McKay, £10.
