Introducing Archie
Published:  02 April, 2008

Archie just after he’d been given a bath by Sue Matthews, dog groomer at Achnabreac.

ARCHIE a wee lurcher pup was found wandering on the Lochgilphead to Oban road at the weekend and he now needs to be either reunited with his owners or found a new home.

The young pup is only six months or so old and a poorly hip joint has left him with an unusual gait.

Louise Casey of Achnabreac Kennels who has taken the dog in said: ‘He was found wandering on the road between Kilmartin and Sallachy.

‘He walks like a high-stepping horse, or a spring lamb. She added: ‘He is utterly beautiful with his lolloping way of walking and everyone who has met him has fallen for him. He was found wandering, in a disorientated way. We’d like to reunite him with his owner, or we have him until Monday when the dog warden service will take him.’
