Sergeant William Brian with the Kintyre Crime Prevention Panel. To buy: c08cri01

AFTER 11 years of being involved in the Kintyre Crime Prevention Panel (KCPP), Sargeant William Brian has decided to leave Kintyre.

William came to Campbeltown in 1995 and a year later joined the panel but due to work commitments he will be re-locating to East Kilbride with his family.

In Jackton he will be working as a full-time member of staff at the Strathclyde Police Force Training Centre.

He became secretary of the KCPP in 1996, and then became heavily involved in working with the new CCTV project arranging planning and funding applications when he completed near to 400 forms with Eva MacDonald MBE.

In 2003 Willie stood down as secretary, but remained an active member in the role of CCTV manager. Johnny Durnan and the panel wish Brian well for the future and thank him for his efforts and determination over the years and with supporting the running and securing funding for the maintenance of the CCTV system in the town.
