MEMBERS of the Kintyre and District Ayrshire Breeders Club held their annual heifer competition on Wednesday November 28.

Judge for the day was Martin McHarg from Crofthead Farm, Ochiltree, Ayrshire.

Mr McHarg was making his first ever visit to Campbeltown and after inspecting the four teams of heifers on display warmly commended the exhibitors for their enthusiasm and for the standard of stock on view.

Despite the driech and often wet weather conditions, a large number of spectators followed the event after which prizes were awarded.
