OLD Stoneface John Lowe made an appearance at Whisky Mac’s last Thursday.
The three times ex-World Champion played 16 local people playing one 701 game each against the champion.
Charles Robertson came out on top and was the only person to beat John and take the £100 prize.
The turnout was lower than hoped as the first attempt to bring John in during October was cancelled after his plane couldn’t get in, but a good number still showed up.
Craig Dixon, manager of Whisky Macs said: ‘Although the turnout wasn’t as good as the original night it was still an excellent and superb night.’
