DONALD Colville has recently led the Scottish International woman’s shinty team to success against Ireland.
As well as coaching the Scotland woman’s shinty team he has also been coaching the Glasgow Mid Argyll first and second division teams.
Donald who works for Burn Stewart Distilleries based in East Kilbride has been a fully qualified coach since he was in his late teens.
He attended Campbeltown Grammar School and took up shinty at an early age.
Donald also plays for Glasgow Mid Argyll men’s team and when he was asked to coach the Scottish International Woman’s team he was more than happy to give it a go. The ladies won 2-1 against Ireland recently.
Both his Glasgow Mid Argyll first and second division ladies teams have lifted trophies in the past few weeks thanks to Donald’s coaching.
The division one team came away with the Walker Cup after beating Glengarry 2-1.
Donald was chuffed that his teams came away with cups and that he had the chance to coach the Scottish International Woman’s team.
