Gigha Gallery’s winter showcase of talented artists
Published:  09 November, 2007

THE GIGHA Gallery unveils its winter exhibition tomorrow, Saturday, bringing together two well-known and much sought after Argyll artists Ronald Togneri and John Leckie.

The preview runs from 2pm to 4pm and art lovers can enjoy fine Scottish wines and cheeses as they view. Why not catch an early ferry and enjoy a walk around the island before the opening and lunch at the Gigha Hotel.

Gallery owner Henri Macaulay’s own beautiful jewellery is amongst the other pieces for sale in the gallery as are a number of other works of all prices from talented local artists, making the Gigha Gallery a perfect place to buy a unique Christmas present in a relaxing setting without all the hassle of driving to the big city.

The usual children’s art club which runs on Saturdays at the gallery from 1pm to 3pm will not be held this week but resumes afterwards.

Henri is also taking bookings for a stained glass workshop with Eilidh Keith from the Glasgow School of Art, which will be held on the weekend of February 9 and 10.

As the gallery is right next door to the Gigha Hotel a special dinner, bed and breakfast rate is included along with the cost of the workshop.
