THE Rotary Club of Campbeltown marked the beginning of another Rotary year and the change over in the presidency recently.
The out-going president Ann Gallacher gave a review of her year in office at lunch in Seafield Hotel where she thanked all the members of the Rotary for their hard work and the generous support they have given her during the year.
As always the main fundraisers for the year were the two auction sales with the ‘Wally Burgers’ raising more than £10,000.
New president Agnes Stewart was welcomed into the office by Ann, who wished her well for the coming year.
President Agnes is very well known throughout the whole community of Campbeltown and Kintyre and Agnes has gained great respect in the family butcher business and now as a ‘Reader’ in the Church of Scotland working with many of the local churches.
In taking office, Agnes thanked the former president for all her hard work and the relaxed and friendly style of her year in office.
