While the rest of the country experienced heavy falls of snow,Campbeltown was hit with flash floods of Friday January 25 2103 after field drains failed to cope with the volume of heavy rain which fell during the day. Millknowe Road,the main route into Campbeltown via the A83,was closed for a period of time as the street disappeared under water.
IRISH rock group The Saw Doctors headlined the weekend’s Mull of Kintyre Music Festival. 
The Kintyre Agricultural Society Show took place on Friday August 3 2012 and entries were slightly up this year for the Campbeltown event. 
A HOST of competitors turned out to put on a superb show for the crowds at the Southend Highland Games on Saturday,July 21 2012. 
Campbeltown RNLI lifeboat heads out every Thursday evening to carry out exercises in Campbeltown Loch to ensure the crew are prepared to tackle any re-life scenario.
