
The inshore lifeboat launches
CAMPBELTOWN’S lifeboats were called to the aid of a two-crew yacht off West Kintyre on Monday September 17 2012.
One of the crew members had taken ill,and the all-weather lifeboat launched at 2.20pm.
The inshore lifeboat,under helmsman Al McPhee,launched from Machrihanish.
The woman was taken off the yacht by the inshore lifeboat and transferred to Campbeltown Hospital.
The yacht was escorted to Gigha to safely berth there.
