Ruth McClean in Brussels
EXPERIENCING all the seasons during her 350-mile cycle through three cities, saw Campbeltown Courier senior reporter Ruth McClean raising more than £1,000 for charity.
The 24-year-old left London for Brussels last Wednesday morning, cycling 95 miles to Harwich to catch the ferry to the Hook of Amsterdam.
‘With wind and rain, this was by far the toughest day,’ explained Ruth. ‘The long, steeps hills didn’t make it easy either but gave us a good challenge.’
She was joined by 75 others from across the UK who have collectively raised nearly £125,000 for Kidney Research UK.
