CAMPBELTOWN is a unique community and could teach others about leading successful projects.
That was the view of a Scottish Government minister during an exclusive interview with the Campbeltown Courier.
Minister for local government and planning Derek Mackay MSP visited various organisations, including the airbase group, the local volunteer shop and the new Argyll Community Housing Development on Park Square.
‘This is a unique community with a lot going on and a lot happening,’ he explained. ‘There is a strong sense of community action and the community leading successful projects.
‘Campbeltown can teach other communities a thing or two about picking up projects and running with them.’
