Runners from Campbeltown were some of the thousands who turned out to Inveraray Highland Games.
A spectacle of Scottish sporting and cultural heritage,the event saw hundreds of athletes,pipers and Highland dancers from across the world compete for a coveted Inveraray Highland Games medal.
Home to the renowned World Caber Championships,people turned out in force to see the world’s strongest men compete across a range of heavyweight sports.
Visitors to the games saw athletes endure a seven-hour contest of physical strength as they battled against each other in the shot put,hammer throw and tossing the world’s largest caber.
