ONE OF Campbeltown’s most iconic and prominent buildings is one step closer to receiving funding towards a complete restoration.
The group behind the town hall project has had its stage 1 application for almost £1 million to the Big Lottery’s Growing Community Assets (GCA) fund approved.
This is the first stage of a two-stage process and allows the group to apply for up to £50,000 of development funding to move them onto stage two where the application with be assessed again. If approved at stage two the project can move to the construction phase.
Additional funding of £350,000 is already available from the Campbeltown Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI).
