A PRIZEGIVING in the Victoria Hall on Saturday,June 9 2012 concluded six days of performances in the Kintyre Music Festival.
The festival,sponsored by the Rotary Club of Campbeltown and many local businesses,saw the cream of young musical talent in the area competing in 27 categories.
The winners of each category were chosen following performances from Monday to Friday last week.
Cup winners then performed their winning pieces and were presented with the trophies on Saturday,in a packed Victoria Hall.
David McEwan,Honorary Secretary of the festival,said of the event:‘It was very successful and pleasing to see such a good attendance,not only on Saturday but at the performances through the week as well.’
